The Position: Draftsperson.

Pre-requisites: The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and or MicroStation.

Remuneration: Salary range for the ideal candidate $14.00 – $18.00/ hour plus industry standard benefit package.

Company’s Expectation: The successful candidate may training in the drafting of a variety of survey plans.

Geomatic Engineer/Practitioner

Tham Surveying Limited is a multi-discipline Engineering, Geomatics and Planning Consulting firm with the head office in Vaughan, Ontario. We are currently seeking a Geomatic Engineer/Practitioner to join our Municipal Surveys team in Vaughan.

The ideal candidate should possess:
Post Secondary education in a Geomatics program and / or comparable experience in land surveying.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Geomatic Engineer in land development, Terrestrial Lidar Scanning and Data Processing.
The Ability to perform and oversee accurate topographic Surveys including Horizontal and Vertical traversing with proper Quality Control
Proficiency in boundary surveys, land planning, parcel mapping and the subdivisions process.
Supervising skill to establish and monument legal boundaries.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD (Map & Land), Civil 3D, MicroStation Power Draft, Topcon ScanMaster, Virtual Geomatics Smart Lidar and GeoLab.
Experience in operating GLS-1500 Topcon Geodetic Laser Scanner and Data Processing such as noise removing, thinning, filtering, related computations, map generation, 3D modeling, cross sections, creating contours, calculating volumes, orthophoto and animations.
Expertise using precise instruments and Global Positioning System (GPS)
Working Experience with Sokkia and Leica precise instruments including Sokkia Set 1X, Sokkia SDL30 and SDL1X, Leica1800, Leica1201
Analytical knowledge of Post Processing Data, Calibration, Geodetic reference systems, and Least Squares Adjustment process.
Ability to compile all recorded information and measurements
Processing data for full range of engineering tasks using calculation software like: StarNet, Sokkia Spectrum Survey, GeoSite, and LisCad
Settlement monitoring of High-rise building, construction Shafts, and underground Tunnels
Excellent communication and leadership ability; strong attention to detail and expertise in making client relationships are also essential
